Yannis,
Ilinden blew it again.
He means that "Just because Macedonia is a word of Greek origin, does this
mean that Macedonia (Now modern-day FYROM) belongs to Greece"?

Of course not. FYROM for the FYROMIANs and Macedonia for the real
Macedonians.
But, this is the first time that I see in writing that a Slavoskopjean
admits that the word Macedonia is of Greek origin.

We should keep up the good work. Maybe the next step will be for the
Slavoskopjeans to admit that they are not descendants of the ancient
Macedonians and Alexander the Great. Afterall Kiro Gligorov, their
ex-president, admitted it openly.

Panajoti you are a nitwit, how many times I have to tell you bre tikva
skapana.
Subject: The name Macedonia derived
The name Macedonia is derived from Illyrian "maketia" which means
cattle, referring to the pastures here.
Ilinden the SlavoSkopian
You are wrong my chum.
The word makedanos is Homeric Greek: "oia te fylla makedanis aigeiroio" =
like the leaves of a high and wet popler wrote the father of poetry.
Macedonians liked th eadjective and make it the name of their country in
order to make you SlavoSkopians shut up ! All Greeks were fanatic readers
and singers of Homer.
